New Years!

We spent the evening of New Years with the Hoth's!
We ordered take out from Chili's and just hung out and let the kids play!
(Thanks Rhonda for this picture)

We didn't stay until midnight, but as always it was fun to hang out with one of our favorite families!
Happy New Years!

Daddy is the best!

Brady started dragging the kids all over the house in this blanket.  The kiddos were loving it!
If either of them went overboard they would jump to their feet and run to get back on!
Look at these puppy dog faces trying to convince Daddy to go some more.

It worked!

They ended up going on a lot, lot more rides.

Sleep time!

My Mom bought the kiddos little cots to sleep in while we were in El Paso, we liked them so much that we brought them home.
Now Bryson has the choice of sleeping in his bed or the cot.  He has chosen to sleep in the cot quite a few times!

Going home.

We woke up early to head back home.  It was bitter sweet to be leaving, this Christmas felt so unlike all the others in the past.  We reminisced about the past a lot which was fun!   My Dad also told some great stories each night that had us laughing pretty good.  I think I learned more about him during those late night talks than at any other time.  How fun to make those memories!

Time came to come back home, but this message that Jailee wrote on the white board says it all!

One of the exciting reasons to return home was that we had more presents to unwrap!
Bryson's expression at Grandma & Grandpa's house as they carried the gifts into the room!
Kendyl got to open one of hers first!
She was excited about her new shopping cart with food in it.
Grandma plopped Bryson on top of his present before he opened it!
(it was a new basketball hoop)

Pots, pans, and kitchen utensils for Kendyl.
Magformer's!

Grandma opening her presents!
A cute little kitchen for a little Kendyl!
That evening we opened the remaining gifts under our tree at home!
Kendyl was really good at opening her own gifts this year!
Bryson opening his gift from his teachers!
A snowman book!

Bryson picked out this cute picnic basket for Kendyl, he helped wrap it too!

Bryson opened his gift from Kendyl!
A Puppy!
(he saw this puppy at a store a while back and really wanted it, Sister Kendyl is awesome)
Bryson showing off two of his favorite dogs!  He named the new dog "Ralf"!
Bryson was in heaven getting Iron Man gifts!

So excited, that he had to put it on, along with the helmet he got for his birthday.
One happy little girl!
Daddy went from room to room setting up the new toys!
Kendyl decided that she'd like to live in the doll house too!
Bryson got to sleep in his bed tent for the first time!  He loves it!

Family pictures!

Tuesday we got up and headed to Jad's hotel where we got permission to take our own family pictures!  Since the whole family was together it was a good time to get one taken.

We took the pictures with a combination of myself taking pictures and my sister, then with the magic of photoshop I put it all together!

After taking pictures, Jad and I snuck away to go eat at Chico's Tacos!  We are the only one's in the family that like it, but the crispy beef tacos in a spicy sauce with tons of cheese is oh so yummy! We brought some home for Shanilee to try and she liked it too.  Our Chico's tacos club is growing!
Although I would have been happy for the chance to eat there, I was really glad to spend time with Jad.  It was nice to just talk, about anything, I loved that!
A few family members came down with a stomach bug so we pretty much just stayed in the house the rest of the day to recover, although I think there was more playing than anything!
(Thanks Ingrid for these pics)

The kids are always very drawn to Ita!
