Summer sweets

Bryson and Kendyl LOVE these little juice bottles, they would drink them all day long if I'd let them!

 I on the other hand have a weakness for the items at Sweetly Divine!

Our families all time favorite summer treat is shaved ice, with ice cream at the bottom!!



Bryson's first purchase!

Bryson received his first wallet for his Birthday.  He has gotten good at distinguishing the different coins and dollars in his wallet.  Very often at the stores when he sees something that he HAS to have I tell him that if he had his wallet he could buy it with his own money.  This has gone on for months and finally Bryson asked to take his wallet to the store when we went to TJ Maxx.

We almost made it out of the store, until Bryson spotted the gummy bears and he thought he had to have them.  So it was time for his first shopping trip with his own money!

Camping & Golfing!

Brady was at Scout camp for a week with the scouts and he promised Bryson that he could go spend a night with him.  So all I heard about for a couple of days was Bryson talking about camping.  I got him a Buzz Lightyear hat and sleeping bag, packed his clothes in his Buzz backpack and he looked just like a little camper!

Off they go to the trading post first!

 It was Bryson's first time camping and I would have stayed hiding in the bushes to take pictures if I could have, luckily Brady took some for me!

Brady's Dad picked them up for a round of golf (Bryson's first time on the golf course), then brought Bryson back home!

  Both Brady and Ernie gave a "Oh my hell" at the start of the round as they hit bad shots, so they began being careful what they said around Bryson.

 Such a great caddie!

 Later on in the round Ernie hit a bad shot and grumbled to himself.  By that time Bryson decided to break his silence, his choice of words ..."Oh my hell".  The guys got a good laugh from it!

Happy Father's Day!

It would be an understatement to say that the kiddos like it when Dad's around, they LOVE it!! The second the garage door opens each day after work they both quickly make their way to the door.  The kids are often seen riding on his back, chasing or tackling Brady.  They can never get enough of him, he is such a great father! 

Brady kept saying that the new razor was his Father's Day gift but we managed to still surprise him with a big bucket of gourmet popcorn and a card that had none other than Mickey, Donald and Goofy on it.  It was a hectic day since Brady was leaving the next morning to Scout camp for a week, but we still managed to have a great dinner and visit his family.  We are grateful to have great Father's surrounding us, their examples have and continue to impact our lives for the better!

New toys!

 Kendyl has loved this baby and stroller she received for her Birthday from Ita! 

It is sturdy enough for her to pull up on it from day one and walk around, she had a big smile on her face when she took her first steps!

Bryson grabbed the walker my Mom gave him when he was Kendyl's age.  I saw them both standing side by side and I told them to not move an inch until I got a picture!



One year pictures!

I have tried on three separate occasions to add words to this post.  I cannot seem to find the words that will best describe my love for my sweet little girl, or the profound impact she has made in our lives in just one short year.  I recall what seems like just yesterday when I discovered we were expecting, when Brady and I cried in happiness as I told him the news, when we were in awe to see that we were having a little girl, and when the moment came that she entered this world. 

There is no greater miracle than that of a birth, furthermore the birth of your own child.  The feeling of happiness and the memories that just Brady and I have of this special time. Our little newborn has grown much too fast in the last twelve months, but I love to see her learn and grow.

I love the quiet moments I have with Kendyl.  I will forever treasure the times when she is sleeping in my arms, when she gives her big smiles and her little laughter to go along with it.  My heart melts when we make eye contact from across a room and the quick little crawl she does to get close by. 

Having kids has been the best life experience and they teach me every day how to enjoy life.  Kendyl is truly a blessing, a perfect addition to our family and we are eternally grateful for her. 

We absolutely LOVE our little Miss!

Kendyl received bath toys, swim toys, clothes, a baby and stroller, a water table, stuffed animals and more!

 She loved the sugar filled ice cream cone on top of her cake, so much that she didn't really care to make a mess of the rest of the cake!

But she did offer her little bit of heaven to any takers.
