Dad & Son

It's so easy to get into a routine all the time, we always say prayers as a family, read from the scriptures, give hugs and kisses then lights out as we slightly close the kiddo's door for the night.  I then start getting myself ready for the night just as I do every other night.  Just as I expect to see the kiddo's door closed it caught my attention that it was opened.  It warmed my heart to see Brady talking with Bryson about anything and everything, just a little bonding time for my boys!

Bryson's talk

Yep, I totally snuck a few pictures of Bryson giving a talk in Primary!!
I have figured out that Bryson only takes his talks, and scripture assignments seriously if Brady helps him.  Brady will help him and it will go smoothly, I help him and he stays quiet, go figure.
So now Brady is in charge of helping him out!
Bryson's topic this time was the creation of the Earth!

He did a great job, way to go Bryson!

A trip to Salt Lake City

All it takes for us to have fun is a night in Salt Lake City, it's just little getaways like this that fills my cup!
We took the kiddo's to the Living Planet Aquarium, the otter's were one of the favorites.  They are so active, and constantly in the water.  You wonder what goes through their little minds, like "oh it's been three seconds since I have jumped into the water I better go again".  Ha ha, they were pretty entertaining!

There is a petting area where you can touch little sharks, sting rays and star fish!  Brady and I couldn't convince either of the kiddos to touch anything, oh well.

The Penguins were another favorite!

We also went to see an IMAX surfing movie, the kiddos weren't very impressed with it at all, it's a good thing that it was only a half hour long.
You can't go to a Hotel without a good swim trip!
Love these kids!

Such a poser!

Occasionally I will spot the kiddos doing something so funny that I have to grab the closest camera and tell them to not move until I get a picture, yep this is one of those times!

Save or spend?

Bryson has always been a good saver of his money!  Occasionally he gets something on his mind that will tempt his money saving skills a little too much and an Ipad game of Daniel Tiger was one of those times.  He kept asking to download the game and he was even ready to pay up the $1.99 it took to get it.
He was one happy boy!

My Birthday!

I was very surprised to have the most beautiful flowers delivered!  Brady rather spend money on things that last or things that I ask for so I have only received flowers a few other times, but it was definitely a surprise!
I had been wanting to try out a restaurant called "Kabuki", it's a teppanyaki type of restaurant where they grill the food right in front of you.

It was super yummy and a great way to top off a good day!

Valentines Day!

The kiddos were pretty excited for Valentine Day, they love picking out their favorite Valentine character cards!  Bryson had his own party at preschool and Kendyl had a party with the nursery kiddos at church.
Each year there is a cute little party at church where the younger kids can decorate cookies and pass out their own valentines just like their older siblings do at school. That way our little one's don't feel left out of the valentine exchange fun!

Kendyl really got into her cookie decorating, especially with the sprinkles.  Right when I thought she was done decorating her cookie I'd see her reach for the sprinkles and add more, a lot more depending on how quickly I could get to her.

On with the Valentine exchange!
She was pretty excited with her loot!

In the evening Brady and I get to go to dinner with a bunch of couples in the ward!  I have started to really look forward to his each year, time just passes by too fast when you have great company.  This year we had a group of 16, which included the Charlton's, Jeppesen's, Bingham's, Allen's, Hoth's, Akin's, Haueter's, and us!

On our way back home I was explaining to Brady that after I drop off our babysitters we can give the kiddos their gifts, little did I know that Brady had something else up his sleeve!
As I opened the door with the kiddos gifts in hand, my cute family was waiting for me with a cute card, stuffed animal and lotions from Bath & Body works.  I loved their little surprise and they loved their gifts too!

Happy Valentines Day!

Boy or girl?

We took some fun pictures to guess what we were having just the day before my 20 week ultrasound appointment!
We took pictures with both blue and pink balloons, so that we had covered our basis on what the outcome was!

 It's a girl!!
I honestly was convinced we were having a boy, I was so shocked that we were having a girl, most importantly a healthy baby girl! It had even crossed my mind to take a picture holding the blue balloons and letting the pink balloons go.  So glad we didn't and we got our picture holding the pink ones!
Now on to think of names!

Sleep over with Big Brother!

I am not sure what changed Kendyl's mind about sleeping in her own room but she began acting scared and would wind up in Mommy & Daddy's bed each night.  She had progressed to wanting to start out sleeping in our bed and one night as we tried to convince Kendyl to sleep in her room, Bryson invited her to sleep by him.  Kendyl accepted his invitation immediately and from that day forward they has slept in the same room!

Big brother's know how to keep their sissy's safe!
